The Birch is for people who want the woods to feel like part of the story. This hike-in A-frame gives you the fun of arriving on foot, then rewards you with a luxury queen bed, solar lighting, a private firepit, a grill, and the dark-sky magic of a true off-grid stay.
Spend your days hiking, playing disc golf, exploring nearby lakes, or wandering the White Mountain National Forest region. Scale the mountain on the adventure trail to our 5-story Summit Tower with 360-degree views, then come back for a firelit evening.
You'll follow a natural wooded path to reach it, with your belongings shuttled by utility vehicle at check-in. Rustic, romantic, and a little bit legendary — The Birch is roughing it done right.
Good to know before you book
This is a rustic, off-grid stay — no running water, a private outhouse, solar/12v power, and a short hike in from the parking area over natural terrain. It's available seasonally. Bring layers, a headlamp, and water; we'll shuttle your gear up by ATV. The reward is woodsmoke, dark skies, and a star-filled night you can't buy anywhere else.
