Our story

Fifty-six acres, kept wild on purpose

Where city lights fade, trails begin, and every step brings you closer to the one beside you.

In The Trees is a treehouse & glamping property on 56 wooded acres on the edge of the White Mountain National Forest in western Maine. Three unique treehouses, three cabins, an 18-hole mountain disc golf course, and a summit tower — all woven into a forest that asks only that you get outside and explore.

We think a great stay isn't about thread counts or amenities you'll never use. It's about the feeling that finds you on the second morning — when your shoulders drop, the city finally lets go of you, and the people you came with feel a little closer than they did at home.

So that's what we build around. Treehouses that hold real comfort without losing the wonder of sleeping in the canopy. Rustic cabins for guests who want the forest a little closer. And experiences — the tower climb, the disc golf round, the firelit night under dark skies — that give a weekend its shape without ever filling it up.

What guides us

A few promises we keep

01

The outdoors is the amenity

We protect trails, dark skies, and wide-open acres the way other places protect a view — room to roam, right outside your door.

02

Comfort without losing the wonder

Real beds, real showers, real coffee — alongside the genuine magic of sleeping up in the trees.

03

Leave it better

We build among the trees, tread lightly on the land, and tend these acres for the guests who come next.

Stewards of the forest

These 56 acres came to us with old-growth birch and oak, quartz ledges, and trails worn soft by years of footsteps. Our job is to tend it lightly — to build among the trees rather than over them, and to leave the forest a little better than we found it for the guests who come after you.
