The experience
The Birdie is the treehouse you hike to when you want the trip to become a story. Primitive, playful, and fully off-grid, it gives up to three adventurous guests the magic of sleeping in the trees without the hassle of setting up camp.
You'll have two twin beds, a lower-level futon, solar lighting, a water filtration system for drinking water, a private outhouse, a grill, a firepit, a hammock, and 56 wooded acres all around you. No Wi-Fi. No cell service. No heat. No running water — and somehow, that's exactly where the magic sneaks in.
The walk in is part of the adventure: a steep, rocky woodland trail, with your belongings shuttled up by utility vehicle at check-in. For the right guests, The Birdie is a little legendary — a hike in, a fire at night, a hammock in the woods, and the rare pleasure of being unreachable for a while.
Good to know before you book
This is a rustic, off-grid stay — no running water, a private outhouse, solar/12v power, and a short hike in from the parking area over natural terrain. It's available seasonally. Bring layers, a headlamp, and water; we'll shuttle your gear up by ATV. The reward is woodsmoke, dark skies, and a star-filled night you can't buy anywhere else.
