The Little Treasures In The Trees Photo Contest: Rules

Post a photo from your time here, this year or years ago, tag us, and you're in the running. At the end of winter, Gwen & Josh pick their favorite.

1. Who runs it

The Little Treasures In The Trees Photo Contest is run by Guinevere Hospitality Group LLC, doing business as In The Trees Maine, 859 Maine Street, Stoneham, Maine 04231. Questions: info@inthetreesmaine.com.

2. A judged contest

The winner is the photo we like best. There is no random draw.

3. Who can enter

Anyone 18 or older can enter: guests staying with us now, past guests from any year, everyone in a guest's party, and disc golfers who have played our course. The In The Trees team and our employees can join too. Void where prohibited.

4. Contest dates

The contest runs from October 19, 2026 to March 31, 2027. A photo counts if it is posted by 11:59 PM Eastern Time on March 31, 2027.

5. How to enter

Post a photo you took at In The Trees Maine on Instagram or Facebook. Tag us on Instagram (@in_the_trees_maine) or on Facebook. Your post must be public so we can see it. Stories disappear after 24 hours, so feed posts are best. There's no limit: post as many photos as you like. Every tagged photo that follows these rules is in the running.

6. Photo rules

Photos must be your own and taken at In The Trees Maine. Old photos are welcome, from any year. They must not show anyone who hasn't agreed to be shown, or anything unsafe, illegal, or offensive. We may skip any photo that breaks these rules.

7. How we choose

At the end of the contest, Gwen and Josh look at all eligible photos and pick one favorite photo, based on:

8. Prize

One winner receives a $250 In The Trees Maine gift certificate to use toward a stay with us. The gift certificate is transferable, so the winner can give it to someone else. It cannot be combined with any other discount or promo code, and it cannot be exchanged for cash. Stays are subject to availability and our house rules. The gift certificate must be used within 6 months after we tell the winner. The winner is responsible for any taxes on the prize.

9. Telling the winner

We message the winner on Instagram or Facebook within 14 days after the contest ends. The winner must reply within 5 days. If they don't reply, or aren't eligible, we may pick a different photo the same way. With the winner's permission, we announce their first name and photo on our page.

10. Your photos

You keep ownership of your photos. When you post and tag us, you give us permission to repost your photo on our website, social media, and marketing, without payment. Credit matters to us: whenever we share your photo, we name you by your Instagram or Facebook handle, and you're welcome to keep your watermark on it. You confirm you have permission from anyone in your photo. We always ask before using a photo that shows a child.

11. Your information

We only use your social media name to find your photo, contact you, and credit you. We don't sell your information.

12. Instagram and Facebook

This contest is not sponsored, endorsed, or run by Instagram, Facebook, or Meta. By entering, you release them from any responsibility for it.

13. General

We may change, pause, or end the contest if something outside our control affects it. By entering, you agree to these rules and our decisions.

14. Winner list

To ask who won, email info@inthetreesmaine.com within 60 days after the contest ends.
